Multi-Surface, Large-Scale, High-Resolution, UV Flatbed Printing.

Direct UV Printing to rigid substrates is an important part of Colours Imaging's core capabilities.  With the means to print with white ink, opens up a world of display opportunities.  We use a Fuji Acuity Advance printer which has a bed size of 8x10 for almost any type of rigid flat surface up to two inches thick. It also has a roll to roll printing attachment for poster and prints.

  • Prints up to 96x120 inch on rigid substrates
  • Prints up to 80 inches wide by any length on roll substrates
  • Prints 4/C Process Inks + Opaque White Ink
  • UV Inks for indoor and outdoor usage
  • Single or Double Sided Printing on hard substrates
  • Prints directly onto hard substrates up to 2 inches thick

The clear advantage is direct-to-substrate imaging, this eliminates the need for additional finishing procedures like mounting, laminating or sealing. This means faster turnarounds and reduced costs for your projects. With an optional, in-line opaque white ink layer and flexible color inks, we can also print on actual objects like doors or florescent lighting lenses — as long as they are no more than two inches thick — even with irregular or textured surfaces! The white ink layer masks out existing color modulations on printied objects, allowing for brighter, cleaner graphics with optimal color punch wherever needed, both inside and out.

Inkjet output make great point-of-purchase and trade show graphics, vehicle wraps, window displays, gas pump signs, wall coverings, stage backdrops, outdoor posters and signage. Premium Archival Matte (285g) Fibre Paper
An ultra-smooth surface with a matte, bright white finish make these premium heavy weight archival prints a rich alternative for true photographic reproduction. They are reminiscent of traditional fiber-based matte photo papers, but much heavier and with the dense blacks and intense colors of high-resolution inkjet pigments.

Photo Satin (300g) Fibre Paper
These slightly textured, satin-finish prints have many of the fine attributes of the matte versions, but with a bit more surface sheen, overall weight (300g) and durability. There is an acid-inhibiting layer within the paper for greater longevity and the satin surface creates a handsome, lusterous finish.

Vinyl & PVC-based Fabrics
We print on many types of flexible materials, each with its own special features, to address particular lighting, weather or location specifics.

Fiber and Satin Papers:
Many artists and photographers select the long-term permanence of archival pigment inks, and the rich textures plus added weight of fiber and cotton rag papers for their exhibition quality prints, giving them even greater value over time. Our selection of print papers have some of the widest color gamuts in the industry, for best color reproduction.

Computer-cut self-adhesive vinyl

This product is well suited for long lasting, vivid spot color graphics for window and vehicle lettering, promotional signs, menu boards, ...almost any smooth, non-porous surface. Suitable text can be cut down to a one half inch height or smaller. (36pt for San Serif, 42pt for Serif.)   We cut vinyl on a 30 inch wide plotter, allowing large graphics without seams (subject to roll widths). Most vinyl comes in 15, 24 or 30 inch wide rolls depending on the vinyl type.

We stock many standard colors of vinyl and can special order other colors and sizes. Vinyl is not, however, available in an infinite variety of colors, but typically comes in several shades of each color. We'll be happy to show you the colors we stock and are able to order, and can provide you with the approximate vinyl color references to Pantone® colors. Vinyl can be supplied "ready to apply" on backing paper, or we can apply it to a variety of materials.

We've used our cut-vinyl output in exhibits, wall application, basic vehicle wraps and tagging, signage and experiential graphics.
